A great BIG "Thank you" to our friend and brother in Christ, Scott Pendergraft of Pennsylvania for his tireless effort in getting these photos into the jpeg format so they could be used on the Website.

The metal building below is our sanctuary and offices.  The arched building is our Compassion Ministry Building.   The building on the left is our parsonage where we were living that burned to the ground on January 28, 2009.  We lost everything.
The other metal building is on the neighbor’s property.

Below is our parsonage on fire on January 28, 2009, leaving us homeless.
We now occupy a corner of our Compassion Ministry Building while we raise funds to repair a 14 x 80 mobile home we have purchased.

This is the southwestern corner of the Compassion Ministry Building that served as our
Food Distribution Center.
This portion of the ministry has since been moved to the left of the camera to make way for our temporary living quarters after the fire of January 28, 2009.
Compassion Ministry Clothing and Food Distribution Manager, Clara Davis is to the left of center.  Jadelyn Perry a frequent volunteer who now lives 50+ miles away in Silver City is to the right of center.
At the time of this photo on a Sunday afternoon the shelves were almost bare with a new arrival to take place the following Tuesday morning.
We drive 144 miles round trip to Wilcox, Arizona twice a month to replenish supplies purchased from Jericho Faith Center, an Operation Blessing Associate.

Below:

This is a portion of our Clothing Distribution Center.  The racks were donated by a clothing store that went out of business about the time we moved to Lordsburg.   Notice the large windows on the south side of the building - facing the sun.   Even with the plastic over them, it gets hot in the summer time and cold in the winter.   The floors are bare concrete also.

Compassion Clothing Distribution Ministry: Director Clara Davis along with Susie Escobar who assists her in the ministry.
The clothing racks were donated by a clothing store that went out of business in Lordsburg.
Plastic hangers on which clothing hangs were donated by another store.
The plastic behind them is mainly used for storage of out-of-season clothing, extra food and other items; the room to the right is the lone bathroom with one stall and sink for the entire complex of two buildings: Compassion Ministry Building and Sanctuary/offices.

Susie, a former drug addict and alcoholic and victim of domestic violence,
was the first saved in our ministry;
first to be baptized in water;
first to be baptized in Holy Spirit;
and first to complete our first Journey Encounter Class and Retreat

This is a photo of the side window of our 1996 Plymouth van after vandals smashed the window on the Sunday night after we stood up against the gambling interests wishing to turn our town into a gambling haven.

Below:

Deacon Matt Norton is at the grill for one of our potluck barbeques.  This photo is taken in our breezeway with the sanctuary/fellowship hall behind the cameraman and out of the picture.  The windows and doors to the left of the picture is where our Compassion Ministry Building is located.  Matt's "helper" for this barbeque is a member of the Border Patrol and is stationed down the street about three blocks to the left of the picture.

Once a month we have a potluck lunch after the morning service and discipleship classes.
This photo was taken during one of them.

The banner on the back wall was acquired for ministry at the Hidalgo County Fair in Lordsburg where we usually pass out cups of cold water in Jesus’ name as a witness to
fair-goers of God’s amazing grace.

Pastor Davis is the guy with the beard and has since lost some weight.

Matt Norton, who wears many hats, sitting at our “control booth” for church services.
Yes, we are in need of a better system and a “real” control booth.

The section behind the plastic wall is storage of things we were able to salvage from our parsonage fire of January 28, 2009 and some church supplies along with some toys we are collecting for Toys for Tots to be given away in December.

Other toys are being stored in a corner of the sanctuary to the left out of range of the camera.

US Marine Corps Toys for Tots CEO: Pete Osman (USMC, Lt. Gen., Retired);
Vice President, Operations: Brian Murray (USMC, Major, Retired);
Region IV Accounting Specialist: Katherine C. Barnes

Katherine’s smile and glow are because she knows the One whom we also serve!

Below:

This is our church van decorated for the annual Christmas light parade in December 2009 as we advertised our Toys for Tots program in Hidalgo County – another ministry of Lord’s Living Water Lighthouse that we are blessed to be able to serve to the kids of our communities.

The ministry buildings are behind the photo of the van and the building to the far left, in front of the van, is a corner of the parsonage before the fire of January 28, 2009.

The buildings over the hood of the van belong to the neighbors.

Below:

Here is another photo of the same van from the front along with our other van used in transporting toys to various locations within Hidalgo County.

Note: the old motel is in the background and has been demolished as unrepairable.

The building with the dish is a corner of the parsonage before our fire of January 28, 2009.

Below:

Pastor Davis dedicating a baby to the Lord – one of his favorite things to do.
Little wonder that Jesus enjoyed it, too!

Photo taken while pastor was reading about such an event performed by our Lord.

Notice the unfinished walls made of pegboard!   This is the back wall of the sanctuary.
The rest of the room is unfinished in the same way.

We occasionally host Gospel Singing Groups coming through our area during the week.
This is a Tuesday evening in Spring 2008.

Because this is a fairly new venture for our area, and given the structure of the community,
we don’t always draw a large crowd even though there is no charge of admission.

When we are not hosting a special event, such as this, we host free movies on Tuesday nights – including Christian and family films and other forms of entertainment.
We have no movie theaters in our county, so we serve the public in this way and it sometimes serves as a tool to bring people to Jesus – our ultimate goal.

Below:

This is a not-too infrequent New Mexico sunrise!
As the sun rises on a new day, we enjoy the blessings of our Lord as we work with Him in bringing enslaved (addicted) people and those with other needs to the foot of the cross.

It is only through the support of people, churches, and other Christian organizations that we are able to do what we do for His Kingdom!

We receive no government funding so we rely on the investments of others for eternity as we love the people of Lordsburg, Hidalgo County, Southwest New Mexico, Southeast Arizona and Northern Chihuahua, Mexico into the Kingdom of God! Thank you for what you do for the Kingdom of God!

Heaven alone will reveal how your investments in the lives of others for eternity will make the difference in the life of someone you touch!

On behalf of my Father in Heaven, thank you for caring!

 Yabba-dabba-do - that's all folks!
